I used Front Page for several years to create photo galleries on my car club web site. I now use window 10 and front page will not work on 10 therefore I have been using Expression Web 4 to maintain and update the web site. The question is how can
I set up photo galleries with thumb size pictures using Expression Web 4?
There is nothing automatic in EW4 that will create photo gallery pages. You would need to put the smaller pictures on a page and add your own links to the page you want to display when they are clicked on, and create that page with the full size picture
(and any additional descriptive content you want to add), and a link back to the gallery page.
There is an option that will create thumbnail images inside EW, although you may find it better to use a graphics editor for that to have control over the size and quality. To use the thumbnail option, make sure you have the Pictures toolbar showing,
put the full size image in the page, select it, and click the Auto Thumbnail button. To set how wide the created thumbnails are, use the Tools -> Page Editor Options -> AutoThumbnail tab.
