Picture is on his side in webbrowser

    when i look a preview of my xhtml  document ,the picture a insert is on his side ???why??

  • Well, there's a chance you've applied a CSS transform, like "transform: rotate(x)", to the image, but I'm guessing that since you're asking this question in this forum that is not the case.

    Try opening the image in an editor (double-clicking in Win 10 opens it in "Photos," unless you've installed an app that has grabbed the default image handler assignment) and rotating the image, then save it back to its current folder in your Web, then test again.

  • If the picture was taken with an iphone, it may actually be on its side, as far as Windows is concerned.  It depends on how the iphone was held (portrait or landscape), and I don't know if this has changed with updates to Windows.

    Regardless, open it in a Windows image program, and if it's on its side, rotate it.
