Strange behavior with Excel 365.
We have a SQL2016 SSAS Server from which we extract data in Excel. This work fine in Excel 2010 and Excel 365.
We have a new SQL 2019 SSAS, we have an exact copy of the SQL2016 data. But when in Excel 365 we have this issue:
-----
When doing "Filter -> Keep only selected items" (or even "hide selecting items") we get this error:
We couldn't get data from an external data source. Please try again later.
If the problem persists, please contact the administrator for the external data source.
Here is the error messages that was returned from the Analysis Server named xxxxx:
Query (2,1) The 'Measures' dimension contains more than one hierarchy, therefore the hierarchy must be explicitly specified
-----
We have this issue no matter the cube, no matter the dimensions, measures, etc.
We don't have the issue when using Excel 2010 with SSAS 2019.
We don't have the issue when using Excel 2010 with SSAS 2016.
We don't have the issue when using Excel 365 with SSAS 2016.
