  • Every time I start up my computer the wireless get disconnected for couple of days now. I have to replug the USB cable from the wireless device and reconnected it in order to have connection. The Wireless Zero Configuration still doesn't show up in the Services list. I am using Window 7. How do I add WZC into the Services.msc list in order prevent constantly reconnecting wireless cable from and into the device when starting up my computer? Please help.

    thank You

WZC service was renamed in Vista to WLANSVC

If it does not exist, try this.

    1. regedit
    2. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ndisuio
    3. Change Start to "0x000000002 (2)"
    4. Restart

If it exists but does not stay On.

Many Wireless cards when loading their drivers loads the manufacturer Wireless Utility.
Since the Wireless can work if managed by two utilities, the new loaded utility switches Off the windows utility.

If you opt to use Windows native utility you have to prevent the manufacturer utility from starting.

Usually there is an entry in the startup folder that can be disabled and prevent the utility from starting.
