Mount file share not working...System Error 67 when attempting to map RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am attempting to add a mapped drive to our file storage account. I am able to add account name and key with no problems. I have persisted the account using the CMDKEY statements. I am attempting to map drive using the following command:

    net use z: \\<storage-account>.file.core.windows.net\<share-name>

Without persisted key I would test the following and still same error:

    net use z: \\<storage-account>.file.core.windows.net\<share-name> /u:<storage-account> <account-key>

I have verified that the key and account name are correct as no errors when I add them.

    Please help!

  • Hi,

Please check the CMDKEY once again:

    cmdkey /add:<storage-account>.file.core.windows.net /user:<storage-account> /pass:<account-key>

    and try this:

    net use * \\<storage-account>.file.core.windows.net\<share-name>

    Regards,

  • If you are trying to map the Azure file share from your local On-premise computer, then it is not possible. It is not support as of now.

You can only map the Azure file share from a VM in Azure.

However, you may use ExpressRoute to connect Azure File share from our On-premise resources.
