Deleting images from the PIR? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I uploaded an image to my PIR and am trying to delete it so that I can replace it with a different one. When I delete the file from disk \\OSOFS\Share\CRP\PlatformImages\foo\foo.vhd I notice it doesn't ever remove itself from the UI.

I've tried logging out and back in, closing the browser each time, and the image for it still remains.

Is there anything I can do to work around this?

    Thanks

  • Hi Tim,

The marketplace UI may shows error after you remove a previously added image from the PIR.

To fix this error, click settings in the portal. Then, click Discard modifications under Portal customization.

  • Make sure you also deleted the manifest.json file.
If so then try to log on to the xRPVM and restart the services below and see if that resolves your problem.

    Get-Service CRP | Restart-Service -verbose
    Get-Service ManifestProvider | ManifestProvider
    Get-Service PlatformImageRepository | Restart-Service -verbose
