,NET compact on which OS?

which OS is .NET compact compatible with? I mean I only know about symbian based phones and java based ones, so can the .NET compact framework be installed on both?

Also where can I get simulators for the same.

What would be correct methodology in writing my first complete .NET application for my phone ( I have both symbian and java based phones).

Platforms that support the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework runtime are Windows based. Get a Windows based device (e.g. a smartphone with Windows Mobile 5.0) or use an emulator that comes with IDE (e.g. Visual Studio 2005), go to this link:
