Single instance only should be allowed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I am working on .NET1.1 framework C# based application. Currently, the application can be opened in as many browsers as I wish. It has single sign on system. Now, the change required is that this should open in only 1 internet explorer window. As I am new to  .NET, I dont know how top roceed with this. I think some session concept should be applied during login. That is if a user is already logged in at one machine to the application and tries to login to the application again at same machine, it should throw a message that an instance is already opened on this machine and then NOT open the application again.
Can anyone tell me how to proceed with this please.
