ACCESS Remote tables connection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have two files.mdb I have created the connection to two charts of the file "A" in the file "B"

but when I try to question the files on internet the error is
'D:\Corri_In_Trentino_NEW\database\archivio.mdb' is not to valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you macaws connected to the server on which the file resides.

how do I do to say that the connected charts are not of the file that I have on my pc but they are those of the same briefcase?

    Thanks

  • Are you referring to an Access Report chart?

For one thing, you should never use an Access database over the internet.

Where is the D:\ drive?  is that a local drive or a network drive?  When you are working remotely, do you have access to that drive?

  • I think you mean that you have the database in some location on the web, maybe OneDrive or DropBox or even some website, and you want to connect to it.

That is not possible. Access does not work that way. It works with files that are accessible on the LAN = Local Area Network.
