Embedded SL3 fonts in a separate assembly? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I just tried moving my embedded fonts to a separate SL class library assembly, and am using the .extmap.xml technique to enable caching of my font assembly, but now the Blend design surface is broken (lots of red "This operation is not supported for a relative URL").

I have styles that refer to the FontFamily as:

    "/MyAssembly.Silverlight.Assets;Component/Fonts/Fonts.zip#Segoe UI"

Apparently, Blend (version 3) can't handle this?

    Thanks

  • Hi Rob,

Thanks for reporting this - you've found a bug in Blend 3.  We've fixed this for the next release of Blend, but in the meantime you will have to avoid component URIs in fonts to prevent seeing this exception in Blend.
