How to see azure vm template deployment script RRS feed

  • Dear all,

    I am deploying a VM from a provider available on market place, but during deployment the wrong tool version is deployed.

    I need to tweek the deployment script in order to push correct tool version in.

    Is there a way in azure portal to see the deployment script and edit it before creating the VM ?

    Thanks for posting your question here.

    Can you provide more information to assist you better:

    • What Market place image are you deploying?
    • What tool are you deploying?

    Below are few suggestions:

    When you deploy a VM from Azure portal you have an option as Download a template for automation in the Create tab. This Json template can be used to redeploy VM's by changing parameters as required.


    If the changes you are referring to make are inside OS, then Custom Script Extension is an option.
