GDF dll has to be compiled for x86, x64, ARM seperatly ?

    Question

  • Hi guys !

I was wondering if i have to compile the gdf - dll for each platform separatly or
if i can use one (eg. a x86 compiled one) for all platforms (x86, x64, ARM) ?

In the package-manifest (Declarations, Game Explorer) theres only one possibility to enter
a dll - so this indicates that only one Dll is needed accross all platforms, just want to
    make sure.

    Kind regs,

  • The general pattern for GDF containing DLLs is to make them contain no code at all, so they are purely resource DLLs. For Windows Store apps, you should also include /NOENTRY so that there's no code at all.

See MSDN Creating a GDF File, "Creating a DLL project container for the GDF file", Step #5.
