Incorrect function JS error on second click on listview item

  • I am getting this error:

    Exception was thrown at line 19503, column 25 in ms-appx://microsoft.winjs.0.6.debug-8wekyb3d8bbwe/js/ui.js

    0x80004005 - JavaScript runtime error: Incorrect function.

    when I click the second time on a list item after I have been on the items detail page.

    Base of my project is a the grid example, which does not suffer this error.

    onItemInvoked: function(event) {

          return event.detail.itemPromise.then(function(item) {
              return nav.navigate('/html/documentDetailPage.html', {
                item: item.data

    Any ideas where this could be coming from?

  • I have not seen that before.  You will need to isolate what you are doing different from the successful case to narow this down unfortunately.

  • I am experiencing this error also.  The app runs, but the error displays on the output screen in Visual Studio Express.  This is running the Metro HTML/JavaScript Grid template and pressing F5 and then clicking through to details.
