Does a Windows Phone Dev Account holder need to pay again to be a Win 8 Dev?

Hi,

As the title indicates, I am wondering if I would like to work on some Windows 8 apps I need to register for a Windows 8 dev account and pay a separate fee other than the one paid for the Windows Phone dev account?

It should not be like this. The publisher name is linked so the accounts can easily be linked in terms of financial management.

Yes, I agree. They should have a unified dev portal and for all types of development. Windows 8, Windows Phone, XBox and all others should be in one place in one developers portal like Apple and Google. Look like different divisions in Microsoft dont have very good coordination. Every team has there own portal and there own way of doing thing.
