"Smtp Client with SSL/TLS" hosted at codeproject.com RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I got a project "Smtp Client with SSL/TLS" hosted at codeproject.com.

    It runs well on PC.

I need to port it into wince version.

But it seems to has many errors about compiling.

Does any one have a successful experience about that?

    Thanks

  • What version of Windows CE?

I doubt anyone has just ported it. We might be able to help you fix the problems. Do they have a library targeting .NET 2, rather than .NET 4 or 4.5. I think if it's 4.5 only, you won't be able to use it; they're likely using async features in C# in that case (not available in CE).

  • Hi Paul T.,

    Thanks for your reply.

The version of Windows CE is 6.0.

And actually the project "Smtp Client with SSL/TLS" I got is a win32 console application written in C++.

I'm trying to create a new win32 smart device project and move all the .cpp files one by one into this project.

    Errors appear as follows:

Error 1 fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'sys/types.h': No such file or directory

Error2      fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'sys/types.h': No such file or directory

  • Most of the stuff in sys/types.h will have to be implemented by you, so I'd just comment out references to that header file. That should get you to the actual problems, the missing definitions of various non-Windows types.
