File transfers using HTTPS or SFTP?

  • Does .NET 3.5 framework support these transfers?  If so, could someone point me to a starting link where I can discover how to?

    Thanks, Rob.

  • Take a look at edtFTPnet/PRO, which is a .NET library supporting SFTP (as well as FTP and FTPS). Loads of features, GUI components, and a single interface enabling easy swapping between protocols.

  • Hi Rob,

SFTP is File Transfer over SSH Protocol. As i have crawled internet, i came to know that MSFT do not provides SFTP library directly. I used SharpSSH API.

It is good assembly. Try using it. Also it is with provided with C# code.

  • .NET does not fully support them. However there are some tools out there including commercial and free.

    - Ultimate SFTP and Ultimate FTP

    - Eldos

    - Rebex SFTP & FTP

    - # SSH

  • Hi,

.NET Framework does not support SFTP natively, please look into using JSCAPE's API for your application :
