  • Question

  • Hello out there,

I wonder if it's possible to install Visual Studio 2012 Professional on a Windows Server 2012 for developing Windows 8 Applications/Windows Store Apps?

Thank you for your help, Günther

  • Hi Günther,

you can install VS 2012 on Windows Server (similar to previous versions of VS and Windows Server), but it is not possible to develop Windows Store Apps on Windows Server 2012 (because developer licenses aren't available). You need Windows 8 for the development. For more information have a look at the following article - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/br211384.aspx
