Message Box for New/Not New RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Primarily: If I am posting in a wrong forum, please suggest me right forum for Outlook with VBA

I work with a team who work with outlook express...

when they reply, they have to check if it is NEW item or old item and respond in the subject with NEW or OLD.

I thought of having a msgbox, as and when they click on reply or reply all or farward otions - when they click YES, it is for NEW, if they click NO, will be for old, if they click CANCEL, it will be cancelled.

how do I do this with code (VBA Only) and it should work for all users.

    With regards
    Repath Athyala.

  • Outlook Express does not have an Object Model and does not support VBA or any kind of scripting.

  • Hi Repath,

As mentioned by Dmitry, Outlook Express is different from Microsoft Office Outlook.

You can refer to wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outlook_Express

The two program just build on the same idea, however they do not share a common codebase. So please confirm that whether the team you're working with is using Outlook Express or not.

  • Use Inspectors.NewInspector event. Inspectors object can be retrieved from the Application.Inspectors property.
