"Out of Memory" Exception on Azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Was wondering if someone could give me a hand with this.  It is pretty well documented on the Azure forums that the Chart Control gives an "Out of Memory" exception in System.Drawing.  There is a hot fix you can apply so that the controls work in the local fabric, which I have done, and it works great.  I am still however getting this error in Azure.  Folks from the Azure forum have commented that if you set the reference to copy local it should work, which I have done on System.Drawing, and it is still not working with the same exception.  Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, and has been able to successfully resolve it.

The patch is supposed to be applied to Azure soon, but I really need to get the system I am working on in testing immediately, and this is holding me up.

    Thanks

  • My understanding is that the patch has been applied to Windows Azure so that the chart control should work.  It was not an issue in the chart control, but was an issue in the framework.  If it's not working, please contact Azure support.

If this is about using the Report Viewer Control on Windows Azure, that control is currently not supported on Windows Azure and we do not have any timeline yet for when it may be available.
