Determine management database for a host instance RRS feed

  • Is there a way for a host instance to interrogate what management database its connected to?

    I'm planning to call the biztalk explorer model within a pipeline to interrogate the party agreements

    Seems silly to have to encode the connection string for the biztalk database in the config file when the host instance has to know who its talking to to begin with. Ive been looking with google but I cant find it.

  • You can on the BizTalk machine find the name of the used database under registrykey:

    Software\\Microsoft\\BizTalk Server\\3.0\\Administration

    From your description above, if you want to know how to connect to DB from BizTalk, which instance and databases are used by your BizTalk server Group, here are the references:
