Enterprise Library RIA Services RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've found how to download the package, install it, but I can't find a hint of how to use it. Has anyone found out where the documentation is or how to use RIA Services (not the other parts of the Enterprise Library for Silverlight)?  We use VB .NET if that makes a difference.

We would like to find a way of getting rid of the strong typing that LINQ forces on us and it looks like the Enterprise Library might allow us to do this.

    Pointers would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Hi,

Sorry for any inconvenience, as a matter of fact that you can refer the link below to download Enterprise Library 5.0 Silverlight - Documentation (MUST UNBLOCK CHM) and Enterprise Library 5.0 Silverlight - PDBs.

    http://entlib.codeplex.com/releases/view/64239#DownloadId=241925

Then you can get the information of how to use RIA Service with Enterprise Library via searching the key words(in Enterprise Library 5.0 Silverlight - Documentation.chm file).

    Hope it can help you.

I would like to suggest you to refer the link below for an article which provides the information about getting started with Enterprise Library.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff953191(PandP.50).aspx

Actually ,you can get a guide to learn about the Enterprise Library via a set of Hands-on Labs:

Hands-On Labs for Microsoft Enterprise Library

    Hope it can help you.

  • Hi,

That's what I said I DIDN'T need (if you read my question).

What i need (to repeat) is how to use RIA Services with the Enterprise Library and Silverlight and not just the Enterprise Library and not just Silverlight.  The Enterprise Library by itself is very well documented and Silverlight by itself is very well documented.
