Multi-tenant aggregation (O365) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I would like to gather data from several O365 client's tenants.

Is it possible to connect and query through each tenant and present those data in one dedicated tenant?

    Many thanks.

  • Hi,

If you want to make a program which will do what you want, I'm afraid it's hard to achieve.
I recommend to use some Inventory Management software.

  • Hi,

Wouldn't be possible to query through each tenant via search from dedicated tenant?

Yes, we would have to authorized somehow but still I am thinking about using search engine here.

    What do you think?

  • Hi,

Sorry, I cannot understand the meaning of "search engine". What is it?
Anyway, I suppose you need to know the IP addresses or host name of the "dedicated tenant".

  • Hi,

Yes, I would like to search several tenants using the search service in my tenant.

So, basically, the solution would be to set up a search in such a way that I can connect and inquire through any tenant I choose.

    Is it possible?

  • Hi,
    Will you make/develop some software?

  • Hi,

This is also a solution, but I don't know how?

I am thinking about Azure WebJob and synchronization:

    multi-tenants => central hub tenant.

  • on the high level you may register Azure AD app in each tenant and having their app id/secret make Graph API requests to each tenant:

    tenant1: app id1/app secret1
    tenant2: app id2/app secret2

while querying code will be the same.
