Display related items of another list in DispForm.aspx RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm kind of new to Sharepoint 2013 and I'm given with a requirement to develop a Task management solution. I developed up to some extent but I'm stuck at this bit.

I have a list and a document library as below.

Tasks : ID,  task_id, description, etc

Project Documents : ID, title, task_id, etc

The requirement is, when an item in the "Tasks" list is open, in DispForm.aspx page, all the items in  "Project_Documents" which has the same task_id should be displayed.

Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

The following steps for your reference:

    1. Create a lookup field "task_id" in "Project Documents" library.

    2. Open one task item DispForm.aspx page and edit the page.

    3. Add a "Project Documents" web part in DispForm.aspx page.

    4. In "Project Documents" web part, select Connections->Get Filter Values From->Tasks.

    5. Set Provider Field Name: ID  and Consumer Field Name: task_id.

    6. Stop edit the page.

    Best Regards,

    Dennis
