Missing "Publish Options" button in "Save to SharePoint" on Excel 2010 backstage view RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm using Excel 2010 RTM to save a workbook to a MOSS 2007 Enterprise Server with Excel Services installed. I can save it and view it in web browser using EWA. But I can't see the "Publish Options" button on the "Save to SharePoint" page in Excel's backstage view (File). Without it I can't specify workbook parameters that have to be exposed to Excel Services.

Originally, Office 2003 was installed on the machine and then I've installed 2007 and later 2010 versions in side-by-side mode (where it was possible).

Could someone help me with this problem, please?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Maris

  • Hello Maris,

I have Excel 2010 RTM in my computer. I can find the Publish Options in Excel 2010 via,

1.Click the top left corner File menu

2.In the popup menu list, click the Save & Send

3.Then choose the Save to Sharepoint option

4.Then I can see the Publish Options button in the right panel.

However, I do not think this is an issue involved with any development part. So you may find further help in the Excel technet forum,

  • Not positive, but is it related to this license key issue?

  • It is a license issue not a license key issue. I had the same issue with a co-worker's computer. Apperently it is only a feature of Office 2010 Professional Plus. Once he upgraded from Standard, the button showed up.
