duplicated sys id RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to integrate "server A" into the domain from "server B"

Main Goal is to test CITRIX XenDesktop

    What I did:

    • I have downloaded a "testversion" of win 2012 R2 (installed on Hyper-V) - I named it "WIN-DC"
    • I cloned of this server vis Hyper-V  (with the option "create a new unique ID") - I named it "WIN-CIT"
    • I try`d now to join the WIN-CIT server in to the domain from the WIN-DC server.
    • I got the logon window (like it should) but after a moment I got the message that I have the same SID
    • I try`d to use sysprep but the SID was still the same
    • I have downloaded a new "testversion" but ths version had the same SID

Background of using 2 times a WIN-2012 R2 server is that I can`t install CITRIX XenDesktop on A server which is used as a DC.

Any idea how I can get a different SID for the second WIN Server ?

I was to stupide for the right use of sysprep ... all is working fine now
