  • Some one please help me
    How to migrate client’s data warehouse from SQL-Server 2000 to SQL-Server 2008?

    Please let me know in brief steps or if u have videos please post it here it will be helpful.

  • Is it just migration for the DW itself? or you want to migrate all DTS packages which loads data into DW to 2008?

    if this is just a DW, you can simply backup your DW and restore it into 2008, and then change option to 2008 (consider upgrade notes before doing this).

    But if you want to upgrade DTS packages as well; I strongly recommend that re-create your packages in SSIS, because SSIS is replacement of DTS from SQL Server 2005 and above, and this new technology has a lot of components and changes in engine, which will help ETL and data transfer.
