If my reply answers your question, please mark this post as answered.

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.

  • You may need to install WCF Data Services Tools for Windows Store Apps, which is available for download here. It extends the Add Service Reference experience with client-side OData support for Windows Store Apps in Visual Studio 2012.

  • After installing the WCF Data Services Tools for Windows Store Apps component, make sure that you add references to the following assemblies to your solution/project.

    • Microsoft.Data.Edm.WindowsStore
    • Microsoft.Data.OData.WindowsStore
    • Microsoft.Data.Services.Client.WindowsStore

You can then add a service reference to http://services.odata.org/Northwind/Northwind.svc/ and see if it works. It works on my blank Win8 app.

  • Hello zxue, I think you means to add a service reference instead of web service reference. If i am right than I need to add Magento web services. If I am wrong then i am not getting your point so can you please give me some description if possible.
