Report Data Pane is missing in visual studio 2010

Question
-
Hi everyone.
Suddenly i can't find the report data pane in vs 2010. shortcut ALT+Shift+D doesn't work and also cant acces it via menu view (it just isn't there). And yes i have the rdlc page selected :-)
Now when i create a report via wizard it let's me choose/create a dataset so no problem here. But when i want to add a second table or datasource, i have to go via menu data => add new datasource but there is no way to bind it to the table... It doesn't show in the dropdown list at the tablix dataset properties (only the dataset i created with the creation of my report file)
Any ideas anyone? Some help would be greatly appreciated

Already fixed it by doing a system restore of my computer. In case this might help someone...

And that's why one shouldn't use Windows at all. :(Monday, April 2, 2012 5:00 PM

Click outside your report area (gray background border in .rdlc designer) and go to View-> Report Data (last menu item);
or CTRL + ALT + D

What a stupid response.
It's a property window which was accidentally closed by the user. The operating system in use is irrelevant.

Hi there!, I had the same problem, but I keep trying the shortcut Ctrl+ALT+D, and it works, but not everywhere, you have to select the report file using double click , and try the shortcut there. Good luck!

Yes. You must be on a design mode for the commands to reflect or shown as the last command on View Menu
