Add a Subtotal programatically RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Hi,

I've downloaded the DynamicMatrix Example from GotReportViewer.

Does anybody know how I can add a Subtotal programatically to rows and columns ?

    Thanks in advance

  • Not exactly sure what you mean by 'programmatically', but when loading the rdlc in report designer, you can right click in the matrix header area of a dynamic group and select 'Add Subtotal' from the pop-up menu.

I Downloaded the xsd file from

    http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2005/01/reportdefinition/ReportDefinition.xsd

I Run the xsd.exe tool as follows:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin\xsd.exe" /c /namespace:Rdl ReportDefinition.xsd

I've generated the class, so I'm generating the report programatically not using the designer.

Users can select table fields to show in the matrix as the example downloaded from gotreportviewer.com /DynamicMatrix

Now I like to add a row subtotal or column subtotal by code, but I coudn't.

    Thanks
