Workaround for IE Automation in Excel VBA. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I feel as though I'm the only person on the internet with this issue.

I'm trying to automate a Common Access Card (CAC) enabled website so that I can pull data from it for an excel spreadsheet.

I've been successful at doing this for other non CAC enabled websites however I can't seem to get around selecting a certificate and then entering a password into activeIdentity Client.

I've tried delaying the code by using:

    Application.Wait ({00:00:10})

However it still gives me an error code "object disconnected from client"

Anyone have a workaround for this?

  • Hi,

Since the question is more related to selecting a certificate and then entering a password into activeIdentity Client through VBA, I have moved this thread to VBA forum for more effective responses.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Good luck for your project.

  • It looks like the issue is not related to Excel VBA. I think it is related to IE automation insted. That's why I'd recommend asking such questions in the Internet Explorer Extension Development  or Internet Explorer Web Development  forums instead.
