Weird problem with IP settings dialog RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I'm struggling with a quite weird problem in WES7's network settings:

I have a WES7 image with most of components. I'm using SkipUserOOBE and SkipMachineOOBE switches to have pre-configured image.

So, I do installation with IBW, then I switch to the Audit mode, do some customization and switch back to OOBE (with sysprep). Then image is saved to the vim file and deployed on the target machine.

After first logon the following command is executed to setup the IP address:

netsh interface ip set address "Local Area Connection" static 192.168.0.199 255.255.255.0

The weird thing that after that, when I try to change the IP address in the NIC properties to 192.168.1.199 for instance - I got two IP addresses on the interface! The 192.168.0.199 is kept as default and the 192.168.1.199 is added as a second one. You can see it on the attached screenshot. I also ran the ipconfig /all command and there the configurations looks OK.

Strangely enough, it's not stable - when I tried to change IP address to 192.168.20.199 - it was changed properly.

Does anybody have any idea what to check and what a problem could be?

    Thanks in advance, Nikolai.

P.S. Here is the ipconfig /all result from the attached screenshot:

    C:\Users\Administrator>ipconfig /all
    C:\Users\Administrator>ipconfig /all
