  • You can't add the ISA and GS segments. You are going to have to take the ISA/GS data and palth it in either before or after the map is invoked.

  • Gyan,
Here is a HUGE complaint from almost EVERYONE who has either upgraded from the HIPAA accelerator (which has the ISA/GS segment in each transaction) or someone that needs to capture information about the envelope (sender id, and isa control number are normally the big ones), is that to get the context data down to the map involves all sorts of hoops to go thru.
I can almost guarantee that ASanmug either has a requirement to get those values, or is converting a pre-r2 map to r2 and needs to figure out a way to pull the envelope information so it can be mapped in the data.

  • What are you trying to modify in the schema? Since the R2 schemas don't have any of those segments, I can only assume that this is a 2004, or 2006 R1 schema you are modifying,

  • I guess you are trying to modify something in ISA properties.Check this http://blogs.msdn.com/biztalkb2b/archive/2007/03/02/customizing-envelope-fields.aspx , might help you. Let us know if issue still persist and what you are trying to modify in the schema.

  • Hi Gyan,

    Am using Biztalk 2009.

I was trying to modify the X12 (hipaa) schema, right now the schema doesn't have ISA and GS segment, i was trying to modify the schemas to add these two segments.

so when i try to do that,i got that error message but i figured it out to stop that error message by doing the property change

    changed the schema node property

1)Standard is changed from EDI to Default
2)Schema Editor Extension : Remove the check box from Edi Schema Editor Extension.

I did the both on the schema, the error is gone.

    Thanks Gyan for your help

  • Hi,
Eric is right you can't add ISA and GS in schema. Any specific reason to add ISA and GS in schema?? Can you share what are you trying to do?

    Thanks

  • Hi Eric and Gyan,

Thanks for your reply guys,Am using GS values in the exisiting map (BTS 2002),so i wanna replicate the same in 2009 map also.

One of my colleague he already wrote a component to handle ISA and GS segment in the map, i mean it extract the values and pass it thru the map.

    Thanks
