How to get recurrence data from JavaScript API in office365 RRS feed

  • Question

  • In office365 web app, through officeAdd in using

    1. How to identify whether composed appointment is single or recurrence Appointment?

    2. If its recurrence appointment how we can get recurrence information added by user? like its daily, weekly or monthly and other recurrence details.

    To get appointment properties which were not defined we need to use makeEwsRequestAsync call.  but to pass it we need item id.

    3. Now as user is creating appointment and not saved it  how I can get Item.ItemId? There is option that we need to explicitly make a call to save.

    if (itemId === null || itemId == undefined) { Office.context.mailbox.item.saveAsync(function(result){ itemId = result.value; });

     but we don't want to save this appointment as we want them to get redirected to some different web page.

  • Hi,

    Based on check the object, there isn’t the property/method to check recurrence appointment in JavaScript API for Office.

    For the other question, since the appointment isn’t saved, it means this is the client data, so it isn’t make sense to request data from server (makeEwsRequestAsync).
