Snc Preprocessor Hook RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We have apple iPhone's working with exchange server 2007 in our enterprise. A strange behavior built into the iPhone client (and other mobile devices) causes the following :

Contacts, that have emailId1 and emailId2 set to blank and emailId3 set to some valid email address, when edited/save from iPhone causes the emaiId3 data to ride upto emailId1. Essentially, any email ids entered will be stored in email fields 1 through 3 in that order and will not respect the user's choice of fields. Outlook clients respect the user's choice of email fields and stick with it while possibly leaving empty fields as is.

I understand this behavior in the client. However, I wanted to check if there's some way we could intercept via a pre-processor hook of some sort the sync routine and correct this issue on the exchange server ?

I'm open to any other suggestions /ideas to deal with this issue.

    Thanks,

    Avinash
