Other than EASendmail option for sending mails using gmail smtp using TLS security RRS feed

    Dear All,

    I found a solution of using  EASendmail dll to solve issue of sending email using TLS security.It solves our issue.

    but our IT team and my manager says we cannot depend on this dll if they change in future.Please guide me is there any other solution to

    send emails using gmail smtp with TLS security not SSL other than  EASendmail or if this is the only solution how should i convince my manager

    I believe you asked already. AFAIK you can do that with SmtpClient and port 587. TLS is basically a reworked version of SSL so you don't have a separate EnableTls property.

    Try and ask a network guy to use a network monitor if you don't believe it uses TLS.
