Does anyone have any performance data on DAAB 2.0 vs SQLXML 3 when retrieving XML from SQL Server?

No, but a great reason for using DAAB is encapsulation of code, which makes code maintenance better. You can either a) write the same code over and over in each class (web form) or b) encapsulate in a class library (Application Block). I would imagine the perf is better, esp. if you are using the SqlClient namespace, as the DAAB uses ADO.NET, which works directly with SqlServer (no OleDb) with SqlClient. Have not benchmarked.
