How to show PowerPivot model as table in Excel workbook? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I imported three tables (Roster, Staff and  Shift) from a roster SQL databases. The Roster is linked to Staff and Shift lookup tables. I have added a few calculated fields in Roster table such as Staff Name, Shift Description. How can I have an Excel table which links to Roster model in PowerPivot, not the PowerPivot table in the Excel workbook?

  • Hi Joe,

not sure, if this is what you need, but you can load any table from your PP model into Excel as a normal table instead of doing a Pivot:

Data - get data using existing Connections - Tables - ...down below you'll find every table of your model: Calculated Columns will come as well - measures not, as they need the context.
