The return of 'skip intro' RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • One of my pet hates on web sites is one that present you with a landing screen that shows nothing more than 'you are the 100th visitor, click here to enter the site' or worse... the dreaded flash animation either with or without (the surest way to make me leave your site forever) the [skip into] button.

I get the same feeling with the boot screen, you just need a message like 'swipe up to enter your computer' and my nightmare is complete.

Joking apart can we skip the boot screen and go straight to a login page.

Eventually that screen will be much more useful as apps will be able to
surface information to that screen (much the same way that information
about messaging is surfaced to the same screen on WP7 devices now).
