DeactivateDevice() and filesystem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I am using Windows Embedded Compact 7. I am using DeactivateDevice() to unload my sd mass storage driver. During this time i will be doing continous read/write using filesystem calls to sd card from 5 different threads. After some time I will call ActivateDevice() to load the driver again and continue testing. But sometimes the DeactivateDevice() never return and it blocks that thread.  So we are not able to continue further testing. The DeactivateDevice uloads the driver and it called the deinit and the SD card is unmounted. But when we look at the registry, the entry is there that, the sd card is listed in active key.

    Why this DeactivateDevice() hangs?  How can we overcome this?is it a known issue?

    Regards,
