  • Hey all, i am just wondering if windows embedded ce 6.0 r3 had a built in remote desktop to use to remote connect to a windows xp sp3 pc?

    WinCE has a remote desktop client that should work. It should support
    the latest releases of RDP protocol. I don't know if you need to
    configure it to support backward compatibility with XP or if you need to
    update XP to support the same protocol release. But you can try by
    building an OS Design (even using emulator) for a Thin Client. It should
    include all the components you need.
    IIRC the RDP client is not part of the core license, so you may need to
    buy one of the pro licenses (you can check this with the license
    assessment tool).

    I'm not sure what "version" of CE other than the 6.0 r3 it has there. Maybe you can see something i cant?

    Each CE device has its own software configuration. There is no
    "standard" set of features on CE.
    And, honestly, some of the features of that device look fake, or they
    did a lot of work to develop a lot of software and fit it in a 199$
    device...
    Office on CE is not supported. You may have viewers only, but not full
    office.
    Flash player is not available, you've Flash Lite.
