Routing of Failed Messages Biztalk Server 2006 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All..

I have a query, regarding failed messages..i have developed an application where i get data from SAP RFC  and further i store this data in SQL table..Now if due to some reason messages are failed then i had enabled routing of failed messages to a folder...and i can see Message Status as Suspended(resumable) mode ..

My query is will this messages still remain in Message queue as Suspended(resumable) and if yes how can i clear this message queue so that queue won't build up day by day..

    Pls help

    Sandeep

  • Hi Sandeep,

Are you able to route the Error Report to the desied folder, as you have mentioned, successfully?

If not, there's something wrong with your filters.

If yes, you should not be seeing the message in the suspended queue if an error report as generated for it and successfully routed.

However, if it's a 2-way port (which I guess it is, in your case) and there's an orchestration waiting for the response, you'd still get an exception irrespective of whether the error report was succesfully routed. You'll need to handle this in the orchestration else, the orchestration would be suspended.. Can you confirm if the suspended instances you are seeing are send port instances or orchestration instances?

Please look at the following links for details on usage of this feature:-

  • You can manually remove the messages through the BizTalk Admin console. Here is a blog article I wrote on doing this: http://msinnovations.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!62E68922E47BC425!246.entry

    Thanks,

  • Hi Ben ,

Thanks for your reply. Yes i can remove messages throught the Biztalk Admin Console.

Client is asking if that can be handled by Biztalk automatically.

My requirment is if there is transform error the Biztalk orchestration should complete gracefully, and it won't get suspended . If it ca be possible that i can dump this Xml to any folder because i won't be using that Xml.

    Pls Advice

    Thanks
