  • Question

  • In the documentation for Traffic Incidents

    the example for warning is:

    "warnings":[ { "severity":"Minor", "text":"Minor Congestion: slow 1st Av\/Northgate Way (#173) to Express Lanes Southern Entrance\/Exit", "warningType":"Congestion" } ]

    However when I make an actual API call there text in the "text" is not as descriptive all is says is "Serious Congestion"

    <Warning warningType="TrafficFlow" severity="Serious" origin="40.74835,-73.98435" to="40.74844,-73.98456">
    Serious Congestion

    VS for Constructions it has more descriptive text

    <Warning warningType="ScheduledConstruction" severity="Minor" origin="40.77669,-74.04314" to="40.77278,-74.03286">
    Construction: Between RT-3/RT-3 Express and Kennedy Blvd - Roadwork. Roadway reduced to 3 lanes.

  • Hi Bob,

    We forward the text from the traffic reporting service so we can only provide you what they entered as a description.
