Custom Form - need help with handling when someone changes the appointment body RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since the propertychanged function does not work with the item.body, what would be the best way to fire off some code when someone changes the body of an appointment? vbscript not VBA.

    Thanks,

  • Hi RichB PSGS,

    Based on my testing, if you use VBA to declare PropertyChange event with AppointmentItem, this event works with AppointmentItem.Boby

    Class Module:
    Public WithEvents myItem As Outlook.AppointmentItem

    Sub Initialize_handler()

     Set myItem = Application.ActiveInspector.currentItem

    End Sub

    Private Sub myItem_PropertyChange(ByVal Name As String)

      Debug.Print Name

    End Sub
    Sub Demo()

       Dim clsAppointment As ClassAppointment
       Set clsAppointment = New ClassAppointment
       clsAppointment.Initialize_handler
       clsAppointment.myItem.Body = "New Body Information."

    End Sub
    But I am not able to make PropertyChange event to work with AppointmentItem.Boby by using VBScript in Custom Form, so I suggest that you could submit any feedback to Outlook UserVoice:

    Thanks for your understanding.
