brokered runtime components winrt in c# VSS 2013 and 8.1 update 4 will support

  • Hi,

          I have VSS 2013 and 8.1 update 4 will support Brokered runtime components

    I got Following issue:{"Could not find or load a type. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131522)":""}

    Brokered Windows Runtime Components is only used for side-loaded Windows Store apps instead of the app published to the store.

    To identify the issue is on your environment or on your code, I would suggest you to try with following sample: https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Northwind-Brokered-WinRTC-5143a67c, if you can run sample well without any problem, that means there should be something wrong with your code.

    Actually the issue told you "could not find or load a type" probably means you do not have correctly set your project, below is some text from the documentation:

    Note  It is very important to use the  reference winmd in the side-loaded application.  If you accidentally carry over the  implementation winmd to the side-loaded app directory and reference it, you will likely receive an error related to "cannot find IStringable".  This is one sure sign that the wrong winmd has been referenced.  The post-build rules in the IPC server app (detailed in the next section) carefully segregate these two winmd into separate directories.

       Broken components winrt  following issue

    No implementation file was provided for the .winmd file To generate registration information in the app manifest, specify the 'Implementation' metadata on the .winmd reference item in the project file. U2UC.WinLob.App
