Kinect mouse controls RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to control the mouse with kinect. I use some different codes than the codes published here. I want to use them also, but I couldnt get any actions with my hand. Do I do something wrong? when I lift my left hand up, it doesnt give any click or reverse. Can you tell me where I do wrong. Thanks

  • What do you mean by "codes published here"? Did you look at thread and found that it didn't work for you? What code did you use to detect actions (gestures) that you want to represent a click?

We need more details to be able to help you. In particular, if you narrow down problem to 5-20 lines of code and post code here, it is a LOT easier to help you out.

  • you didnt mean did you? Im using his project for multiple mouse devices on the same screen added with some dsf(device simulation framework) code. The dsf allows me to create emulated mouse devices and send input to them as if the person on the kinect  were that mouse. I like the ability to directly tell the emulated device how far to move the mouse.

This approach using dsf only allows the mouse relative movements meaning it can only move so far from its last position on the screen which is what it does in windows but windows just makes sure you mouse doesnt fall off the screen.
