Massive Undeletable Spam in Windows XP SP3 Forum

Question

Spammers have found a method to direct a user to their web site just by clicking on the Title. Moderators cannot delete this garbage! Please look into this issue ASAP! http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-CA/itproxpsp/threads

Forgot mention that if you need to delete a thread, you can append a /delete at the end of the URL.

E.G.

1) Copy the thread URL.
2) Append /delete at the end. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/reportabug/thread/fb617463-0c85-43f9-9e86-e7d3857c728c/delete

Hi Carey,

Responses inline:

1) Is there a way for a Moderator to quickly view all posts marked as Abusive?
[Don] Yes. If you're on the forum view (list of threads), you can filter threads by "Abusive". Click on "All Threads". You'll see the option to filter on abusive posts.

2) Is there a way to delete all posts en mass from a known spammer?
[Don] Yes. However this feature is not publicly available in this Forums. We have an internal tool that we can delete posts and messages by user. If you find a particular user spamming these Forums, report it to the following alias [e-mail] "or" submit a service request to: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/emailcontact.aspx?scid=sw;en;1432&ws=Forums-Tech
