Device.Network.MobileBroadband.**** tests of WHCK RRS feed

  • Question

  • Please let me have some information on the Device.Network.MobileBroadband.*** for Win8.1 RT machine.

    1.        For Win6_3.MBN.GSM.TestSimRoaming test, is there any standard roaming SIMs card for WHCK? The test seems to need two SIM cards for Roaming. (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh998960.aspx)
    2.    For Win6_3.MBN.GSM.MBBDriverStress (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn247476.aspx) and Win8.MBN.GSM.MBBDriverStress (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh997919.aspx) , what are the differences between the two ? Those are for the ‘Device.Network.MobileBroadband.GSM.ComplyWithBaseReq’ requirement.

  • Only one roaming SIM is required to run the Win6_3.MBN.GSM.TestSimRoaming test. The roaming SIM should cause the device to report the register state as WwanRegisterStatePartner or WwanRegisterStateRoaming.

The Win6_3.MBN.TestSimBad test requires a bad SIM. The bad SIM will cause the device to report the ready state as WwanReadyStateBadSim. An example of a bad SIM is one that has exceeded the number of PUK entries.

The tests have been modified so they will work with either a provisioned or non-provisioned SIM.
