Visual Studio 11 and Platform Builder RRS feed

  • Hi all

    Does anybody know, if visual strudio 11 comes with platform builder for ARM processors, to

    build BSP and SDK?

  • Someone at Microsoft knows, but they aren't going to make that sort of a detailed announcement in advance of final release. My guess, given past history of Platform Builder is NO. 99.99% of Visual Studio users (if not more) don't even know what Platform Builder is. My guess is that VS11 will contain ARM backends for C/C++ or assembly.

    I had build my Embedded Compact 7 with VS 2008. Vs 2010 hasn't that Platform Builder. My Thought was:

    Windows Embedded COmpact 7 is a new product, but have to develop with quite old develop tools.

  • According to this link ( Windows Embedded Compact v.Next will follow in the second half of 2012, introducing support for Visual Studio 2010.
