How to update a remote sitemap.xml? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

First, I am hosting on PHP..

But my app front end is .NET (C#)

I'd like to know how can I update my sitemap.xml located on my host using my front end without having to download the file on local, update it and upload again...

    Thanks,

    Jassim

  • Why would you want to download it in the first place?

I thought sitemaps are either generated right before deployment so you can put the file along with other files on the site (the static way), or be some code generating it on the fly with some routing (the dynamic way)

If your web runs .NET, just search for "asp.net generate sitemap.xml" and find some that fits your need (some are webform, some are normal MVC, and some are for .NET Core versions) and add it to your project following their instructions.
