Visual Studio without the emulation feature RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I use Visual studio without the emulation feature? I do not have Hyper-V and was wondering how I can still use visual studio to run and develop programs for windows without emulating them in any guest system?

  • Hi sdmandrell,

If you want to use the emulation, your computer must have Hyper-V, which you can refer to following link.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt228280.aspx#HyperV

But according to your description, you don't want to use the Emulator when developing Windows app. Please connect to your device directly, which needn't Emulator. When you connect to your devices, it will listed in Run tool as below image shows.

    Best Regards,
